Imy plays with the idea of loss, depression and memories throughout many aspects of her practice. Inspired primarily by natural themes such as growth and decay, Imy is intrigued by the perception of the natural world.

Imy is majorly influenced by the art made by her mother Ali Hare. 

Ali Hare's website can be found here. Unfortunately, Ali passed away due to a brain tumour in June 2014. Because of this, you will find there is a common reoccurrence throughout Imy's practice which references tumour-like swellings or growths.

Following university, Imy is currently following in her mother's footsteps and enjoying creating and exploring her art practice.
